I've never been in a SkyTeam Lounge, so I decided to give it a try. Overall experience: 4/5 and I pretty much enjoyed my time here!
1. Location
The SkyTeam Lounge in YVR Vancouver is located near Gate D53 / D58 and it is only accessible if you are flying internationally. It took me less than 5 minutes walking to get there after passing through the security checkpoint.
I walked past Plaza Premium Lounge on my way there, so that means compared to it, the SkyTeam Lounge is slightly further away from the checkpoint, but as it turned out, it was closer to the gate I boarded my flight from so it was all good.
2. Food
On my visit, the food at the lounge tended towards Asian cuisine. I had a bowl of wanton noodle soup with some siumai, fried noodles and salad, as well as broccoli soup and some pastries as dessert.
3. Seating
I entered the lounge at around 10:30 a.m. on a Sunday, and seating was ample. Here are two quick photos I took inside the lounge:
It started to get a little crowded around 11:30 a.m. by the time I left, although that’s to be expected.
Looking forward to be here again next time.
