The 3 Fan Speeds + A Sleep Mode
There are 3 Fan Speed Modes, as well as a Sleep Mode that can be operated on this purifier. Sleep Mode is the quietest operation, followed by Level I, II, and III subsequently.
Here is a video of me switching between all the fan levels, from Level I, II, III, back to Level I, then to Sleep Mode. In this video, I'm toggling between the fan modes so you can get a sense of what the fan and noise levels are like. Keep in mind that the sound recorded by my phone may or may not capture the real sound of the air purifier optimally, but it should give you a general idea on what the product is like.

Optimal Room Size
Like any other air purifier, the size of your room does matter—even the best model won't work well in a gigantic room (unless you purchase several air purifiers to cover the space). A single unit of the Levoit Core 300 works for a space up to 219 square feet, or around 20 square metres.
Other Features of Levoit HEPA Air Purifier Core 300
Here are a few other supplementary functions of the air purifier:
-
Timer Function: Set the air purifier to turn off on its own after 2, 4, 6, or 8 hours.
-
Display Lock: Prevent current settings of the air purifier from being changed accidentally. This may be useful if you have small children or pets around who just like playing around with pretty much anything.
- Display Off: From the video I uploaded showing the different fan modes, you should be able to see that there are light indicators coming off from the air purifier. You have the option to turn these lights off if you wish.
Filter Indicator
Levoit Core 300 comes with a default filter that you can use right away. If the filter needs replacement, the filter indicator on the top will light up in red.
Levoit recommends replacing the filter every 6–8 months, but it certainly depends on your usage as well.
Here is a video showing you how to access the filter on the Levoit Core 300 model—you will have to turn the air purifier upside down, crank the cover clockwise and then pull.
Other Colors / Versions
The Levoit Core 300 Air Purifier comes in a few variations—I purchased the black version, but there is also a white and even a smart version that connects to Alexa.
