1. It's a dry sweeper, a damp sweeper, and a wet mopper, all three in one
The Braava Jet 240 iRobot Mop has three modes:
- Dry sweeping
- Damp sweeping
- Wet mopping
To use the robot, you would have to attach either a dry sweeping pad, a damp sweeping pad, or a mopping pad to the base of the robot. There is only one “CLEAN” button on the robot, but not to worry, because the robot can auto-detect the kind of pad that is attached to it to run the appropriate cleaning mode.

The only thing you have to pay attention to is that the damp sweeping and the mopping actions will require you to fill the robot with water.
When I bought the Braava Jet 240 iRobot Mop, the box came with 2 dry sweeping pads, 2 damp sweeping pads, and 2 wet mopping pads. All these pads are intended for single uses, and you can purchase more according to your usage from the iRobot Amazon store or any other homeware stores that carry the brand.
2. Washable, reuseable mopping pads are available!
If you are not a fan of getting disposable wet mopping pads, get the washable ones. It comes in a pack of two, and it is washable as well as reusable.
3. You don't have to worry about it getting stuck under the bed when it finishes cleaning
If you've had a cleaning robot before, chances are you may have encountered one that made its round in your bedroom, only to have it finish cleaning, stops under the bed, and now you have to crawl under the bed to rescue it.
The Braava Jet 240 iRobot Mop returns to the position where you turned it on, so if you turned it on from the corner where your bookshelf is at, that's where it's gonna end up at once it's done cleaning, unless it is somehow obstructed by a pet or another object.
4. It cleans corners well
Since the Braava Jet 240 iRobot Mop has a square-like shape, it makes it easy for it to sweep or mop around a right-angled corner compared to a round-shaped robot.
The Braava Jet 240 iRobot Mop dry sweeps, damp sweeps, and wet mops, but it does not vacuum. It's mainly branded as a mopping robot, not a vacuuming one. Depending on your needs, the sweeping and mopping functions this robot has may be good enough!
