Photos: Hallstatt, Austria

Named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997, Hallstatt is a town in Upper Austria known for tourism and its production of salt. Its economy today is dependent on tourism, however, its popularity has contributed to overtourism in recent years and as such, the town has begun implementing limitations for daily bus tours allowed in an effort to promote quality tourism.
